Based on the rumors about Villeneuve‘s next film being “Cleopatra” from a screenplay by David Scarpa (“Napoleon”) with a supposed 2024 production date and Zendaya accepting the lead role, Timothée Chalamet being offered the role of Octavius and Daniel Craig being sought for Caesar, I figured why not try and do a tribute poster.
With this piece I wanted to harken back to the otherworldly, larger than life type of poster designs that the Pirates of the Caribbean, Narnia or The Golden Compass movies have.
